You can take your keyboard with you

This isn’t quite a runway bag, but it’s quite a novelty for that hip, geeky girl I know. What surprises me is that this bag looks like it just might hold up for awhile.

I won't be typing any emails on this, but I'm sure I'll get many comments.

Fashion on the courts as well?

Who knew that tennis accessories could be so fashionable – I never thought tennis bags for women could be so stylish that I would just drape it on my shoulder and go to a fancy party.  Let’s face it ladies, we are more fashion-oriented then men. Today’s tennis bags for women are a far cry from yesteryear’s bulky and unattractive bags. Some of the high-end tennis bags are my favorites, such as Court Couture and the Cortiglia.

I love this bag

These tennis bags for women resemble an actual handbag and not a duffle bag or backpack. I took the black/white Cortiglia Sonoma to an outing recently and none of my girlfriends noticed it was a tennis bag. I was able to comfortably fit my wallet, cell-phone, keys and hairbrush. The leather and mix match of colors makes for a better quality and aesthetically pleasing tennis bag.  The modern designs are much more feminine and suitable for us gals.
But for those women who are serious tennis players and need a tennis bag to fit racquets and clothing, you have a wide array of tennis bags to select.  These tennis bags for women will fit much more than just one racquet. Throw in your shoes, tennis balls, clothes, wallet, towel and racquet since you have ample space and several small pockets.  You don’t have to worry about anything falling out of your tennis bag since the bags will safely hold your valuables.  We have the best of both worlds when we look stylish and play like a champion.

Need a cute little summer tote?

So the Hubby and I were invited to a wine and cheese event in Sonoma county next weekend and I am very excited. We are going to be taking the train up there and staying with some friends in near by Santa Rosa. I bought my dress and shoes but the blue from my gucci just doesn’t quiet fit what I am going to wear. I needed something that was inexpensive so I looked online and found nothing. A girlfriend suggested that I look at the Hobo line of bags. They have a very cute selection for not unreal prices (read: Birkin). The one I picked up was the Jane line. Its tidy, cute and has enough room for all the essentials.

Lookie what I got

What I bought for our trip to Sonoma County

Definiately going to have to take a better look at these Hobo bags they had a lot of cute ones. I picked up the Jane from Hobo, its an adorable tote with a snap closing and made in 100% leather, it has brass furnishings and a well made cord strap. I will send pics of the wine country when we get back!

How cute is this

I was looking through some old magazines today and came across this bag –again–. When I first saw it I was in love, it’s the Prada Vernice Sfumata Small Hobo.

I call it the Miami Vice

Like drinking Miami Vices on the beach..

After poking around the site…

As soon as I saw the pink Prince Racq Pack Tennis Backpack while looking for my husband’s father’s day gift, I grabbed it because I knew it was the tennis bag for me (besides I need a lil something for me as well- right?).  Call me a girly-girl but I have to admit the pink color caught my eye.  Finally, a tennis bag that was after my own heart, I thought to myself.  Pink has always been my favorite color and after purchasing this backpack, I am convinced it was custom-created just for me.

To die for!

Just a cute lil something for me

Although at first glance, the Racq Pack tennis backpack looks like a traditional tennis bag, it is not as heavy or bulky looking. By no means am I a serious tennis player.  I just enjoy going to the local health club with my girlfriends, playing a game or two and spending the rest of the time socializing over lunch.  After I am done playing, I throw my used clothing inside the backpack along with my racquet. According to the website, this tennis backpack has space for two racquets, but I only use one so I have ample space to stash my extra set of clothes.  I put my shoes inside the separate pocket at the bottom of the bag. Now this is one great feature because I can separate my dirty shoes from my other gear.  The backpack even includes a dual zipper which makes for easy access.
Since this bag has so many pockets, I toss my keys, my cell phone, my visor, plus my wallet, so I do not need to bring along my purse.  No longer do I have to dig around inside the bag to find a small item, because I can organize them in the individual pockets.  There is a separate hook for keys, but I do not use it.  Another good thing about this bag is I can either grab it by the top handle or use the easy-to-adjust backpack straps and wear it on my back.
My friends at the club have all asked where I got the “pink tennis bag.”  They are even more surprised when they learn how economical the tennis bag is. As one of my friends put it, “you get more bang for your buck.”

What are you getting your Husband for Father’s Day?

With the approach of father’s day and the fact that my husband doesn’t ever actually ask for much, I had to knock around some ideas and finally decided a tennis bag that was masculine and useful would be great.  First a little background – we’ve recently discovered that we really love playing tennis together.  It’s great exercise, lots of fun, and a nice way to be a little competitive and keep things fresh.  So I figured a nice tennis racquet holder would make an amazing gift – and he’d at least look good, even if my game is coming along better than his.

Realizing I wanted a quality bag that my Marine husband wouldn’t destroy in a few weeks, I did some Googling, came across Babolat bags and realized these were the perfect tennis bags to withstand his less-than-gentle demeanor.  I looked for a macho-style bag that could hold his uniform, tennis clothes, shoes, wallet, keys and more for the evenings we meet up at the courts right after work.

I found the Do It Tennis website and came across the perfect Babolat bag for him – the Babolat Y Line Racquet Holder x6, a functional tennis bag at the right price that looked good too.  There are two full-length compartments; one holds his racquet and the other holds his change of clothes and shoes.  The large side

compartment keeps his phone, wallet and keys easy to find, instead of having to dig around the bottom or inside of the bag.

Maybe the best part is the removable bag that holds wet items, like his shirt and socks, and then he can just bring it in, throw it in the laundry, and the rest of his stuff in the bag doesn’t get nasty.

It was an awesome gift which my husband appreciated, and we’ve both loved the Babolat Y Line Racquet Holder x6 ever since – he looks professional and like a serious tennis player, and he can be ready to hit the tennis courts with me anytime time we can squeeze in some court time together.
